The 39-year-old LeBron James isn't feeling his age a month and a half before his birthday.
James said after Tuesday's 134-107 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, "I don't feel 38 at all.
I'm just playing free. I feel like I can do anything I did in my twenties on the basketball court".
The Lakers sat James in the fourth quarter of the blowout as he finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
To start the 2023-24 season, the Hall of Famer has averaged 24.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and shot 56.7 percent from the field.
His performance level at his age is unprecedented in the NBA. A reasonable comparison would be to Tom Brady, but LeBron doesn't exactly have a skill-position team to support him.
James has surpassed the 35-minute mark six times in 10 games despite the Lakers' efforts to keep his minutes low.
